SmithConnector, is an online community created exclusively for members of the Smith alumni community. Through SmithConnector, you're able to connect with your fellow peers around the world and stay engaged with your alumni community. Facebook Connect
Now you can make automatic updates to your Facebook page while you're in
SmithConnector. No more updating your profile twice in both places.
Find Alumni
You can search from SmithConnector's alumni directory of nearly 50,000 alumni to find former classmates, peers and industry colleagues through. Looking for a former classmate who hasn't registered in the community? Send them an email through SmithConnector or invite them to join through SmithConnector's invite a friend viral marketing tool. When using the directory you can perform a simple search (locating an alumnus by name) or an advanced search (locating an alumnus by company, industry degree, location or keyword).
Customizing Your Profile
You can customize your profile page;
control the layout, colors, and content of your page to reflect your
personality; bring in content from around the web like news feeds,
YouTube® videos, Flickr® photos and even your Facebook® badge. Build a
page for your friends, other members of the community or for the rest of
the world, and choose what information you want to show to others. You control it all.
Add Widgets, Gadgets and Feeds to Your Profile
Your profile page can also include
content from around the web. Sport the latest Google™ gadgets, content
from ESPN®, news feeds from CNN or the most popular YouTube videos on your profile page.
Make it the one place it all comes together for you and your friends.
Create Your Friends List
Building your Friends List, allows you to create your own professional network. It's a great way to stay connected to your peers. Click the search link in your profile and
enter name of the friend you'd like to add. When your friend's name is
displayed, hover over and find the Add to Friends List icon and select
it to add them to your list. When you add a friend, a Invite List tab
will be added in your profile. When a friend adds you to their profile,
a Request List tab will be added in your profile.
Adding and Editing Tabs to Your Profile
You can create additional tabs in your profile and make the viewable to everyone, your friends in your network or just you. Working in your profile in "edit mode," click the add tab option. Add
the name of the tab you would like to create. In order to save the tab,
click the green circle. You also have the ability to select the audience
of who should be able to view the tab by clicking the audience tab.
You also have the ability to rename or delete the tab.
Join | Create a Group
For a more personalized networking experience, join or create your own
peer group based on industry, region or degree. This is the place where
you can search for and join a region or industry-based group who share
your interests. Suggested groups
are determined by where you live and what you do and are pre-populated
based on the region and industry-based fields from your profile. To
create a new group, you must go to My Connections and select Create a
Group from the Groups tab. Please note:
A number of groups have already been created based on region, country,
degree and company. Before creating one yourself, please search the
list, via the search field, by typing in region, country, degree
or company.
Add a Class Note
Just married? Recently promoted? You can create and submit a new class
note to share recent news with the alumni community. You may also
include a photo or image. Any associated image must be less
than 4MB in size, and in a JPEG or GIF format. Simply select a class
note category from the drop down menu and write your class note. Click
Preview to review your class note before submitting it to the site.

search designated areas for alumni who are looking for job
opportunities and employers who are looking to hire.
