‘Finding Your Ethical North’
In our hyper-dynamic and complex competitive world, it is easy to confuse means with ends, activity with progress, efficiency with effectiveness, and busyness with importance. As a result, we are increasingly taking unhealthy shortcuts and developing bad working habits, which derail us from pursuing purposeful aims. We are living and working on a high-speed roller coaster, hanging on, experiencing the thrill of the ride, yet becoming oblivious to our surroundings and our sense of ethical direction. As we bend to pressures of the moment, it may seem easier to simply cope, but with coping we ay forfeit our ethical north.
In this presentation, Dr. Suarez recognizes that desire to build a values-based and principle-driven future is not confined to a particular industry, level or demographic group. This presentation reveals that ethical leadership is not about titles, economic status or social strata, but about an intrinsic commitment within each of us to develop, progress, and succeed in the advancement of an individual or collective purposeful aim.
